Umang is the annual inter-collegiate cultural festival of Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics. Not only has it touched the lives of every student in NM but also those of students all over India, an event marked in the calendars of many and awaited eagerly. The brainchild of NMites, Umang was conceived in 2000. Little known then, Umang has now grown and come to be known as Asia’s fastest-growing festival. The festival is currently in its 24th year of celebration and has been entertaining a footfall of over 75,000 college students and 8,000 participants from 250 colleges all across India.

With a motto of ‘Reach for Moo-re…’ and ‘Uma’ the mascot jumping over the moon, Team Umang works endlessly, striving each year to out-do none other than themselves bringing creative new ideas and events for collegians truly living up to the name Umang has made for itself over such a short span of time.

Previously being associated with world leaders such as Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, renowned actors such as Mr. Amitabh Bachan and Ranveer Singh, Umang aims to set the bar even high this year.

Umang 2023 had more than 3 workshops including one with Apple

(The only outlet in India), 5 social causes and movie promotions, show promotions and store launch with actors such as Prabhas, Ahsaas Channa and Hrithik Roshan.
